A Childhood Dream Nurtured by Compassion
For Kayla, a career in nursing was more than just a profession; it was a lifelong aspiration. Her early encounters with the healthcare system, where nurses played a pivotal role, sparked a deep-rooted desire within her. She witnessed firsthand the impact of teamwork, strong work ethic, and compassion. Those experiences fueled her ambition to positively influence the lives of children, much like the nurses who had impacted hers.
Kayla’s mother has worked as a Registered Nurse for 30 years, deepening Kayla’s understanding and appreciation for nursing. “Growing up in a household where nursing was a part of daily conversation, I knew from an early age that I wanted to follow in my mom’s footsteps.”
Devotion to Pediatric Care
Kayla’s passion for assisting pediatric clients made Classic LifeCare an appealing choice after her graduation. Speaking of her role, Kayla expressed, “The most fulfilling aspect of my work here is witnessing the positive impact I can have on a child’s life. Connecting with my clients, seeing them thrive, and sharing their laughter—it’s immensely rewarding being a Pediatric LPN every day.”
Kayla treasures the small yet profound moments she shares with her clients. Recounting one such instance, she said, “One of my clients recently participated in a show and tell at school. She walked around the classroom showcasing her artwork to her peers. At the end, everyone in the classroom clapped and my client started bowing. She was so proud and smiled and laughed all the way back to her seat. Her happiness brought me so much joy.”
