In recent weeks, BC firefighters have put in tremendous effort to bring the wildfires across British Columbia under control. At Classic LifeCare, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. Our Classic Cares program allows us to do just that. Last week, we extended our heartfelt gratitude to the brave BC firefighters who heroically battled the wildfires around the Kelowna region.
The wildfires left a trail of destruction, with many families losing their homes and being forced to evacuate. During this crisis, the firefighters stood tall, working tirelessly to control and extinguish the flames. Their dedication, courage, and selflessness in the line of duty are nothing short of inspiring.
Classic LifeCare Supports the BC Firefighters
Our Classic LifeCare team felt compelled to do something to support those affected by the wildfires. We also wanted to express our appreciation for the firefighters who put their lives on the line to protect our communities.
We ran a fundraiser amongst our employees and Classic LifeCare generously matched the employee contributions. Our employees contributed to those in need who are now faced with the challenge of rebuilding their lives. The donations were sent to the United Way British Columbia’s dedicated wildfire relief fund.
We also took the time to write heartfelt thank-you letters to the BC firefighters. In these letters, we conveyed our appreciation for their heroic efforts during this tragic time. We wanted them to know that their sacrifices and dedication did not go unnoticed and that they have our utmost respect and gratitude.
The Power of Community
This Classic Cares activity was a reminder of the strength of community spirit and the importance of coming together during times of crisis. We are immensely proud of our staff and the generosity they displayed.
