Love is in the Air at Classic LifeCare

Newlywed Patricia Barrie, a Client Care Coordinator at Classic, recently shared her beautiful wedding pictures with the office.

Patricia wed James Barrie on April 23 in Paradise Cove, Oahu, Hawaii.

“It’s hard to choose just one memorable moment,” says Patricia. “I would have to say it was walking down the aisle and seeing our family and friends gathered all together with the beautiful view of the ocean and palm trees in the background and my future husband smiling at me with tears in his eyes.”

Life is Beautiful when Helping Others

Sun Safety

Sunshine is hard to come by during many months of the year in Canada, but this summer has offered a fair number of hot and sunny days.
The Red Cross offers a few simple tricks to keep cool when temperatures are heating up.
• Drink plenty of cool fluids, but avoid caffeine and alcohol.
• Avoid being outdoors during the middle of the day, when the sun is at its strongest.
• Work and exercise in brief periods. Take frequent breaks in a cool or shaded area.
• Dress in light, loose clothing. Wear a hat and sunglasses.

Cookies for Cowfolk

Classic has been putting smiles on the faces of many of our community contacts in Calgary for eight years with these yummy shortbread cookies during the Calgary Stampede.

While we delivered cookies, the city came alive with the festivities and fun for Calgary's 101st anniversary.

People of all ages broke out their jeans, boots and cowboy hats, and did a little do-si-do with their neighbour!

ARBI Bar-B a Success!

It was all sun, smiles and sustenance at this year’s ARBI Bar-B amid Stampede festivities in Calgary.

Classic LifeCare sponsored the Grits ‘n’ Grub at the ARBI Bar-B this year as approximately 200 people gathered for the fun.

ARBI (Association for the Rehabilitation of the Brain Injured) celebrated its 35th anniversary this year. ARBI provides intensive community-based rehabilitation and family support in a nurturing environment.

Crabtree Corner

Crystal Howard was once a preschooler in the child care centre at YWCA Crabtree Corner, and now, at 31, she works at Crabtree supporting high-risk women and babies.

Calgary's Flood - A Home Care Perspective

The City of Calgary is almost back on its cowboy-boot-adorned feet following a June flood that sent the city into a two-week state of emergency.
