Classic Sends a Warm, Fuzzy Hug

By Britney Didier-Shaw

Classic LifeCare was honored to sponsor two therapy dogs through Pals Calgary to visit the Agape Hospice on Thursday, June 13.

Wagging their tails, the dogs lovingly wandered from room to room with their owners, who volunteered their time to share their pets with people. I saw many faces light up in a way that reminded me of a child, when the furry friends came into their room.

MS Walk Edmonton

Classic's Edmonton Nursing Supervisor, Quinn McLeod, and Jennifer Dares, Community Relations, were able to attend the MS walk in Edmonton. It was amazing to see a community come together to support such an important event.  The atmosphere was positive and energetic as strangers gathered because they were all affectedc my Multiple Sclerosis in some way.

Every year more than 65,000 participants in more than 160 communities across Canada gather at the MS walk to engage with each other and raise vital funds for people living with MS.

Gray for a Day

We were so happy to be involved in Gray for a Day which is an event put on by GEF seniors housing, it was such a happy and fun event.  We dyed our hair gray and participated in a flash mob by dancing to a song in the middle of Sir Winston Churchill Square.  The money that was raised went towards seniors in Edmonton who need help financially with their housing costs.

GEF seniors housing is a non-profit/charitable organization providing affordable housing communities for seniors.
