The Alzheimer Society of BC - Dementia Dialogues - Wandering
Demenita Dialogues are interactive opportunities for caregivers to connect with one another and increase their knowledge about dementia and caregiving. Approximately 60% of people with Alzheimer’s disease (as well as some people with other forms of dementia) will wander at some point during their illness. Wandering is an EMERGENCY. It is a good idea to have a plan in place. Learn about reasons for wandering, strategies for reducing the risk of wandering, and resources available to assist in finding and/or reuniting a lost person with their care partner. You’ll receive a Wandering Package, complete with an Identification Kit.
Admission is free
