Walk to Fight Arthritis, Sunday, June 9, 2013

The Arthritis Society is a not for profit health services organization and has been active in Canada for 65 years. We are totally donation funded and as such rely on the generosity of others. Our main fundraising event is the Walk to Fight Arthritis and this is Edmonton’s 3rd year although the Walk began 4 years ago. Each Walk Site will feature a fun-filled day for the whole family including pets (on leash). Please see below for some additional information. The Walk to Fight Arthritis is on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park, from 9:00am to noon. We have a kid’s area, lunch and many more activities! Bring your family, enjoy the activities and join us for lunch!

Please see the attached link which has been posted by a Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) child to get a sense of what we are working towards. The little girl in the video is an Albertan and has participated in the Walk in Calgary for the past couple of years.
In 2013 The Arthritis Society will celebrate its 65th year providing leadership and funding for research, advocacy and solutions to improve the quality of life for Canadians affected by arthritis.
