Brain Injury Presentation at Camosun

Date:
March 19, 2013 - 2:30pm - 4:00pm
Location:
Young Room 216, Landsdown Campus, Camosun College

The psychology department at Camosun College is hosting a guest lecture sponsored by Pearson Education Canada. They have invited VBIS to have a booth at the event - we are very excited to meet at the awesome folks at Camosun!

Dr. John Pinel will be speaking about brain injury from two perspectives, as a researcher and as a person recovering from an excised brain tumor. Dr. Pinel will explain how his training and research enabled him to diagnose his own brain tumor and, subsequently, devise an unconventional rehabilitation program, involving music. He is ‘Professor Emeritus’ at UBC after teaching, researching and supervising graduate students since 1970. He has authored over 200 scientific papers in behavioural neuroscience and his textbook Biopsychology (8th edition) has sold over 200,000 copies.

Come to Camosun to hear his remarkable story!
