What? A Christmas To Remember
Peninsula Singers present their annual
Christmas Benefit Concert Series.
Artistic Director: Glenda Korella
Spotlight on Young Artist: Collegium Piano Quintet
Accompanist: Janet Yonge
When? Fri Dec. 7th 7:30pm,
Sat Dec. 8th 7:30pm, Sun Dec. 9th 2pm
Mary Winspear Community & Cultural Centre,
2243 Beacon Ave., Sidney BC 250-656-027
Why? Because this will be a concert to remember throughout the holiday season and beyond. Collectively, the Singers will throw their hearts and souls into an eclectic repertoire ranging from the lovely “Let There Be Peace on Earth” to a hilarious and entirely disrespectful version of Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker March.” Traditional tunes and new arrangements of those will songs will be on deck, along with costumes, choreography and stand-out performances by soloists drawn from the Singers’ ranks.
Proceeds: to Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation’s Music Therapy Program. Non-perishable donations to the Sidney Food Bank gratefully accepted. http://sphf.ca/blog/2012/4/5/providing-comfort-with-music.html
