Classic LifeCare™ is a family-run agency that has been leading the way in home care since 1974. That’s more than 40 years of the finest home care experience.

Founded by nurse Janet Sherwood, Classic LifeCare began in the family home at a time when health care was first being brought back into the community from hospitals. Classic has thrived and evolved through cultural shifts and enormous innovations in home care, but the Classic LifeCare of today stays true to its core founding values of exceptional service, safety and value.

One of Western Canada’s original home care providers, Classic LifeCare remains the leading non-franchise option for home care in Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver and Victoria. Classic LifeCare is also accredited.

Real People, Real Experience

Beyond our history and values, people are the real measure of what we do. People who love what they do and who they do it for. Classic employees have a history of service in the industry and are in it for the right reasons. Health Care Workers, licensed Nurses, Owners and Managers – our best people have been with us for years and Classic sets the standard for agency stability, reliability and experience.

A Focus on Western Canada

At Classic we have intentionally kept our home care service scope regional and we take a very disciplined and efficient approach to our business. We do not have multiple offices in Edmonton, Calgary, Victoria and Vancouver, we do not operate a call centre, nor are we a national chain or franchise.

This regional focus and proprietary ownership allows us to keep our costs down and deliver tremendous value to our clients.

OUR MISSION

To Provide the finest home care experience.

OUR VISION

To enhance lives by providing great health care, while respecting people, choices and needs.

OUR VALUES

Service, Sensitivity, Quality, Knowledge, Vitality.

We Offer Significant Home Care Resources With a Personal Touch

Our workforce is mobile throughout each region and we bring the service to you in the community – where our best work is done. Despite our competitive fees, we are very well resourced when compared to smaller agencies or national chains.

We believe we are the right size for our industry – big enough to have a solid foundation and resources, small enough that our clients can deal personally with all our people, from owners to nurses to health care workers.

Celebrating Moments for Decades

At Classic LifeCare, we love our work. With each visit, we support people to live life their way in their own homes and make a positive difference. We strongly believe in not letting conditions and care define who a person is.

We don’t wear uniforms and clients are not ‘patients.’ Ultimately, you know what’s best for you or your loved one, and we do our best to make the moments a client lives their own. We understand that home care is about meeting needs, not prescribing them. It’s about living in those moments that matter.

“We strongly believe in not letting conditions and care define who a person is.”
